Well... I know it’s been a long long time since I “blogged”.
I have been so it seems-- pretty busy-- but in a good way.  I thought maybe this blog thing could help me put into words my lil ole life of ministry.
With Twitter, with Facebook, and whatever else there is to “tell what is happening” I have neglected my blog posting.

I have been reading some very interesting books as of late.
Scandalous by D.A. Carson is my latest read.  Prior to this new book which has been “exciting” to read-- (I’ll report on this book) during this blog.
Nevertheless, I have recently read Hitler’s Cross by Ervin Lutzer, Bonhoeffer by Eric Metaxas and I just picked up Rob Bell’s new book Love Wins.

While reading Scandalous the Middle East situation erupted.  Egypt, Libya, Yemen, and a few others.  I am actually taken by all that is going on.  I sense, like many something sinister happening in the world.  The U.S. continues to face many areas of unrest.

With all that is going on-- I am disturbed most about this:  It seems to me that the Jew, the Jewish people across the world are facing once again a real crisis.  Another attack.  Another time they are for some reason the mule getting kicked.

Iran wants to destroy her.  Every nation in upheaval speaks cruelly of the Jew and Jewish nation.  There are people here in our government that if I am hearing right are casting the Jew out for the Muslim way of life.

Maybe it has been all my reading over the past few months-- The Rise and Fall of the Third Reich, Bonhoeffer, Hitler’s Cross and now Scandalous.  The talk in the Middle East is that their Messiah is here.  That our Anti Christ then, the one to bring peace for a time and then will come after the Jewish Nation is here.  To the one, the Muslim-- He is their Messiah.  To us that Follow the Christ, are actually grafted into the Messianic community the Anti Christ is out to not only destroy Jerusalem but the whole Messianic community-- the true followers of Christ.  It seems that the time is coming when those that Follow the Christ will face many difficult times indeed.

I just can’t get it out of my head and heart that we that follow Christ are going to be sifted.   I believe there are some this day sifting out values-- the kinds of things worth living for and quite frankly to die for.  I have been in ministry for 25 years, I have followed Christ for 30 years-- and I have seen and been part of the “Church” fighting over plenty of petty stuff.

But now, right now, the day of letting go of the personal stuff is being sifted.  Why?  Once the “Holy Spirit” is taken away from over seeing or being over the world to keep things in check -- and the world’s hatred for, the worlds depravity, the worlds disregard for God is going to be brutal on all.  Then where will those that like to fight over personal preference be?  What will they want?  Right clothes for church day?  More programs to keep their kids safe?  More of what we want?

Which leads to this question.  Do the Followers of Christ today believe that the old covenant is relevant?  Or is it just about the New Covenant?

Does God still care about His Chosen?

Please read Revelation 12.  Study it.  Re Read it.  Ask God to show you the Truth.

1 A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, with the moon under her feet and a crown of twelve stars on her head. 2 She was pregnant and cried out in pain as she was about to give birth. 3 Then another sign appeared in heaven: an enormous red dragon with seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns on its heads. 4 Its tail swept a third of the stars out of the sky and flung them to the earth. The dragon stood in front of the woman who was about to give birth, so that it might devour...
